Another intelligent solution for road infrastructure is weather monitoring.
The systems help prevent dangerous road situations, improve the quality of roads (especially in winter), and save on their maintenance. The autonomous meteorological station is designed to record the main meteorological parameters: air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation (differentiated between snow, rain, hail, freezing rain, drizzle, rain with snow), CO2 content.
The road surface monitoring system may include not only a weather station, but also a contactless road surface condition sensor. The sensor allows determining the coefficient of adhesion to the road, the condition and temperature of the road, the degree of freezing, the thickness of the sediment layer (water, snow, ice, snow with ice, slush) and even the presence of reagents on the road. All information is transmitted to the control center.
The system measures and transmits all data from weather stations, transport detectors, video cameras and other installed modules to the DigiCity software.
