Description
The luminaire is equipped with a DALI-2 bus, which does not extend beyond the luminaire body, but instead connects to the controller inside the luminaire, and the controller communicates with other networks.
The use of intelligent LED drivers and luminaires that can transmit a wide range of operational, diagnostic, and inventory data is made possible by additional power supply specifications.
Please note that: The D4i power supply specifications are primarily focused on the DALI-2 indoor light. D4i is built on the DALI-2 platform, so DALI-2 can operate without D4i, but D4i cannot function without DALI-2. DALI-1 and DALI-2 can operate independently of each other.
Technical characteristics of the power supply
DALI Part 150 The device is designed for an auxiliary power supply. It allows you to use a 24V DC power supply, which can be integrated into the control device or used as a separate power supply. It is suitable if you have devices that require high power, such as wireless transceivers. The maximum power output is 6W.
DALI Part 250 The device allows you to use the built-in bus power supply in the control device, such as LED drivers, which can power devices like controllers. This power supply can be enabled or disabled for systems with multiple bus power supplies.
D4i data specifications for control controllers
D4i now comes with DALI memory registers that store data in a standardized format.
DALI Part 251 - reading the data of the luminaire. You can access information about your luminaire, such as the identification code, luminous efficacy, CCT & CRI, and the luminous flux level of the luminaire.
DALI Part 252 - energy consumption reports. You can access real-time power and energy consumption data for your light fixture.
DALI Part 252 - diagnostics and maintenance. Predicting maintenance based on data from the driver and lamps in real time. This data includes failure conditions and equipment uptime data.
D4i specifications for control devices
DALI Part 351 – for controllers installed on the luminaire. This part specifies four control devices (1-4) that can be powered by a bus or an external power source.
- Multifunctional application controller with / without sensor. External power supply.
- Multifunctional application controller with / without sensor. It can be powered by an external power supply or by a bus
- A multifunctional application controller that is optionally equipped with a sensor and operates on a bus.
- One main application controller, optionally equipped with a sensor, powered by a bus or an external power source.
